HIRING VOICE ACTORS | COMMON VOICE TALENT QUESTIONS | FINDING VOICEOVER TALENT

Voiceover Talent FAQs

How much does it cost to hire a voice actor?

Well that depends on several factors such as intended use, how long the spot will run for and where, and number of produced spots. RSH Voice Management can work with most any budget and timeframe. Industry standard for pricing does not work by minute spent recording, but instead is calculated based on final use (what medium spots will air on and which markets). We work with union signatories to do union scale jobs and we have a non-union rate sheet available upon request. Just reach out and let us know the details of your job, and we can get busy quoting it out for you.

What does a voice actor do?

An experienced VO actor will elevate your script or copy, television or radio spot, video game, explainer video, in-house corporate video. A good VO actor essentially brings your script to life. In session, VO talent will be directed over Source Connect, ipdtl, or phone patch by a director, creative director, writer, or producer. If using Source Connect or ipdtl, the engineer from the client’s studio will capture the files in real time. If doing the session via phone patch, the voice talent will record the session on their end and send a broadcast quality WAV or AIFF file to the client at the end of the session.
